I've been collecting things to share but have not been able to collect enough time to actually share them. We've done a bit and had some ups and downs. Gym is going well though not getting any easier but I'm getting stronger. However every time I even start to think that I'm feeling stronger they lift the bar just a little bit more! Some photos from the Hill to Harbour run to share.

Within a month we've lost both our beautiful kittens - obviously they were meant to always be together! Didi and Gogo aren't waiting for Godot with us anymore. We miss them and it is just so sad. They were just such great little personalities and had us eating out of their paws!

Nearly 12 months since Dad died. Finding it hard to get motivated to get the house finalised - lacking in energy to think about it. I'll need to bite the bullet soon but meanwhile everthing just continues to roll out in front of me - entropy in action and in my mind!

The ultimate truth

The ultimate truth is that there is no ultimate truth. I find that slightly reassuring and consoling. It is strangely freeing as well. It removes the constraints that govern much of religiously organised thinking.

For a Friday afternoon that is a good thought.

This also calls to mind the end of the working week: "Life is a zoo in a jungle" (Peter De Vries)

A similar thought:
Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex and more violent. It takes a touch of genius, and a lot of courage, to move in the opposite direction. (Ernst F. Schumaker)

let the descent begin!

Well here we go! Maybe a photo to start things off! This is Martin (my eldest son) and Graham (Stephen's sister's husband) before the blood started flowing. They are ready to do some pruning.
